The Adventures of BMD Bear

It certainly has been a busy start of the summer for the girls in bmd:law with four red carpet events in four weeks: -

Our first red carpet event was the Merseyside Woman of the Year Awards 2016 (MWOTYA) held in the lovely Crowne Plaza Liverpool. As guest of Radio City Bernadette and Lindsey thoroughly enjoyed the inspiring story of the amazing work that goes on in our region. It was a day of laughter and tears and one that will never be forgotten by any of the attendees. Bernadette was lucky enough to win the table prize of flowers, vouchers and a colouring in picture of Liverpool which, when completed will adorn our office wall.

Our second outing was absolutely fabulous, no really it was AbFab the Movie, the premiere. The amazing Carolyn Hughes and the team at Cash for Kids had arranged a private screening for a select few fabulous ladies in the Gallery at the Odeon. The cocktails and prosecco flowed throughout the movie with a waiter service (absolutely darling!) and this was followed by an amazing private luncheon at the Hilton. Very glam very exclusive and all for a fab cause. It was bmdbears first official outing and we soon realised that bmdbear likes champagne.

If AbFab wasn’t fab enough on 9 July bmd law were headline sponsor at the Liverpool Fashion and Beauty Awards at the Function Rooms in Liverpool. With our guests from Catherine Higgins Law, Move Residential and NKS Consulting, we had a fab night. Bernadette spoke to the crowd and talked about our Business Angel service which is our commercial team which concentrates on sme and local businesses and start up. It was a nice touch that there were some angels greeting guests and so fab photo opportunities presented themselves along the red carpet. As part of our campaign to make small business aware of legal assistance and to help remove the perception that seeking legal advice need not scary stuffy or expensive we offered to run a little advice clinic on the night. Hosted by the very beautiful Amanda Harrington it was definitely a fab night and our hashtag #itsthelatobefab was much used.

On Thursday 14th July we started our summer of celebrations for our 10th birthday in October. Whilst we had planned a garden party the typical British weather wasn’t up to it so we moved it to our beautiful conference rooms. Originally the Lamb Dining Rooms, the space still boasts Grade II splendour of panelling and exquisite ceilings and full length original sash windows, true Georgian architectural beauty. A perfect backdrop for a fashion show and why not. Continuing our #itsthelawtobefab and starting our #itsthelawtobefashionable hashtag we had an exclusive catwalk of Erica Wildflowers Ibiza collection with hats by House of Charles It was amazing and social media has been flooded with images and videos of the show. Not to miss out bmdbear had several selfies taken with some of the models

As an amazing bonus, photographers Alan Taylor And Anthony Bradshaw took the opportunity to shoot some of the models downstairs in our reception and garden areas. Some of the black and white shots are hauntingly beautiful. Social Media has been awash with images from the photoshoot for the past three days and Bernadette, who treats the Lamb like her baby, has clucked like a mother hen over the photos all weekend. There were lots of pictures but this is Bernadette’s favourite.

We are continuing our summer of celebration and have several events in the pipeline which will appear in our Events page soon (www.bmd-law.uk#events-section)
